Agitator design
"An agitator is a an instrument used to agitate ( put into motion) or spin a mixture or liquid. For instance, a washing machine has an agitator that comes from the bottom of the machine and up through the middle. When you put in clothes and add water, the agitator spins and shakes the clothes and water. This helps to clean the clothes. There are a couple of types of agitator designs. The first agitator is called a dual action. This has both fins or blades that move back and forth and a spiral at the top that will rotate. The next is the straight vane. It is one piece with blades or fins that move back and forth.
