Description

Postdoctoral Synthetic Chemist - 1 year contract - Berkshire
Our client is looking for a Postdoctoral Synthetic Chemist to join their team in Berkshire developing novel chemistry targeted at herbicide discovery.

The main responsibilities will include:
- Design and synthesis of new compounds
- Work with chemicals which present particular difficulties: e.g. owing to their physical properties, reactivity, or hazardous nature
- Apply a range of purification and spectroscopy techniques

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD or equivalent in Chemistry or a related discipline. You will have a goo chemical knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and spectroscopy and will be able to work to minimum supervision.
