The successful candidate will be actively involved in the synthesis and characterization of complex, multifunctional and multiresponsive polymers for a variety of applications. The ideal applicant should have: - A PhD in Chemistry or Polymer Science by December 2011
- Experience in handling air-sensitive reagents with standard Schlenk and glovebox techniques
- Demonstrated experience in the most advanced polymerization techniques such as reversible-deactivation radical polymerizations (NMRP, ATRP, RAFT etc.), coordination and organocatalytic ring-opening polymerizations etc.
- Experience in the synthesis of all molecules such as novel monomers, initiators etc.
- Experience in the preparation and characterization of polymer assemblies in solution and solid state
- Basic knowledge of chemometrics
