The goal for the project is to develop a strategy for using stem/progenitor cells in combination with scaffold material for engineering of bone. A major component of the project is in vitro ysis of cell-biomaterial interactions, and will involve molecular characterization of mesenchymal stem cells using genomic, proteomic and epigenetic ysis. Candidates with backgrounds in stem cell biology, bone hemostasis and genomics are particularly encouraged to apply.
