 Postdoctoral Fellowship in Ab initio Simulations of Actinide Materials, Sweden

Level: Postdoctoral

Fellowship Description:

Uppsala University offers a very strong research environment within computational materials science. The research will be performed at the Ångström Laboratory, which provides an outstanding scientific working place.

Required qualifications: The successful candidate is expected to hold a PhD and have an excellent background in computational materials physics or quantum chemistry. Research capabilities should be demonstrated through publications in peer-reviewed journals. Experience with large-scale ab initio calculations is desirable, as is also experience with computer code development.

Appointment conditions: For an appointment as postdoctor the applicant should have obtained the PhD degree less than three years before the application dead line. An appointment as postdoctor is for two years.

Uppsala university is striving to achieve a more even gender balance and women are especially encouraged to apply.
