1. Ph. D Positions
Applicants are invited from enthusiastic and self-driven individuals to undertake exciting research projects on development of advanced electrode materials for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells and biosensors. These positions are available at Department of Energy System engineering, DGIST, South Korea for the fall semester. Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) is one of top three research-oriented and government-supported universities like KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) and GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology). The students who will accept admissions will receive the following benefits: full scholarship, stipend, internship, housing supported etc. Individual with passion for research and excellence in academics may contact by Prof. Sangaraju Shanmugam by email.
2. Postdoctoral Research Fellow
The Advanced energy materials laboratory at DGIST has an opening for an electrochemist/material scientist starting from July. The candidate will be working primarily on the development of cost effective electrode materials based on novel nanostructures. The candidate will also able to work on other ongoing projects in the area of fuel cells, and biosensor development. Hands on experience in synthesis, characterization of electrocatalysts are required. The initial appointment will be one year, with a possibility of renewal on the basis of mutual interest. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have competent English communication skills. Interested candidates should send their updated CV and arrange for three reference letters to be sent to Prof. Sangaraju Shanmugam by email.
