The Innovative Nanostructured Optochemical Sensor Project
(INGENIOUS-Project)
The Ingenious project (
http://www.ingenious-project.eu/) is a collaboration between European
and Russian r&d institutions, in the field of photonics, electronics and sensors.
The main objective of the INGENIOUS project is the development, evaluation and validation of
novel ultra-sensitive and selective nanostructured optochemical sensors for the detection of
PAHs and BTX from complex mixtures.
Sub-goals involve the fabrication of the different components; novel fluorescent chemosensing
materials, sensitivity enhancing nanostructured transducer substrates and a foil-based optical
read-out platform.
Profile of candidates: We are looking for a person with a PhD degree in Physics, Materials
Science, or Chemistry. Experience in luminescent materials and/or plaonics is required for
this postdoctoral position. Good skills in written and spoken English are also required. The
position is for one year.
