We are seeking candidates for a two year post doctoral position starting February 1st 2011. The candidate is required to have expertise is synthesis and characterization (structure and properties) of novel solid state materials. The candidate preferably should combine broad experience in inorganic materials synthesis with strong knowledge of solid state physics and in particular measurement and interpretation of transport properties in thermoelectric materials. Solid experience in application of crystallographic methods including use of synchrotron radiation is also preferable. The successful candidates will be involved in synthesis and characterization of new materials in collaboration with other members of the Center for Materials Crystallography.The Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO) (www.inano.dk) is a major research and education center based at the Aarhus University and Aalborg University. The center currently undertakes interdisciplinary research involving scientists from relevant areas in physics, chemistry, molecular biology, biology, engineering, and medicine. iNANO offers a dynamic, interdisciplinary research environment with many industrial, national and international collaborators.
