The Institute of Experimental Internal Medicine offers a position for five years for
1 Postdoc (E13,TV-L) (m/f)
in an interdisciplinary project on Systems Biology of Aging.
The project focuses on the experimental and theoretical ysis of DNA-damage induced cellular senescence. Applicants with a strong molecular biology background and interest to study the dynamics of cellular decision processes are encouraged to apply. Experiences with mammalian cell cultures, state of the art microscopy techniques, transfection methods and experience in working in an interdisciplinary environment are an advantage.
The institute coordinates and participates in a variety of coordinated programs funded by the German Research Foundation (GRK1167, SPP1365, FOR521, SFB779, SFB854), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (SysTec) and the European Union (Marie Curie Research Training Networks). Further, the institute is member of the interdisciplinary “Research Center Dynamic Systems: Biosystems Engineering (CDS)”” funded by the Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt within the “Excellence Program” and the “Magdeburg Center of Systems Biology MaCS)” funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the „FORSYS“ program “Research Units in Systems Biology”.
The Otto von Guericke University wishes to increase the proportion of female academic personnel. Women are therefore explicitly encouraged to apply. Handicapped persons with equivalent qualification will be given preference.
