Applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral position (visiting fellow or research fellow) in cancer genomics and mouse modeling with Dr Isaac Brownell’s group in the Dermatology Branch, Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute, NIH. The group is interested in the carcinogenesis of Merkel cell carcinoma, a neuroendocrine tumor of the skin. Studies will include the genomic ysis (gene expression, CGH, deep sequencing) of human tumor samples and application of mouse genetics to create a preclinical animal model. A successful candidate will have a PhD in the biomedical sciences and a strong background with bioinformatics and/or mouse genetics. Experience with biostatistics, genomics data mining, molecular biology, cancer biology, or developmental biology would be desirable. The position is available immediately. Initial appointment will be for two years.
