The Department of Craniofacial Development in the Dental Institute, King’s College London, is seeking to appoint a postdoctoral research assistant to carry out research on the mechanis that lead to congenital hearing loss and the genetic basis of Otitis media (middle ear infections). The post will be held in the laboratory of Dr Abigail Tucker. The three year project is funded by the MRC and will involve a combination of mouse and chick embryology and explant culture directed towards investigating how the middle ear forms and what goes wrong in cases of conductive hearing loss. Suitable applicants should have a strong background in Developmental Biology and a knowledge of Cell and Molecular biology.
